This is the first time the awards ceremony has been held in Covent Garden, despite the BAFTAs being held there for several years. They will be hosted by Sweeney Todd’s Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton and let's hope the TV coverage will be better organised than last year. It has just been announced that Ronan Keating will make his debut at the Royal Opera House as a special guest star. He will sing a number from his album When Ronan Met Burt which features songs by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. It would be appropriate if he sang a musical theatre number, and the album (which I like a lot and play frequently) features I’ll Never Fall in Again from Promises, Promises. posted by Theatre Spy at 8:36 AM
